Method of assessing a disability for the disability pension in someone who has not reached pension age. With the oncoming Commission into the care of the disabled, they should look at the system of estimating how much a person is disabled to receive the disability pension by allocating NUMBERS to the symptoms of the disability without benefit of an assessment by the Government Medical Doctors in person with the disabled person (which used to be the case). Maybe there is room in this Commission for this matter to be addressed. My son aged 60 has been knocked back on this payment because he cannot afford to go to specialists who can give him a report that equates to a number on a list created by government officials. The appeal against the knockback was also knocked back even though he has a metal plunger-type mechanism in his leg where his pelvis was broken so he can walk. He can't walk far or uphill, loses his balance and has continuous pain which has now incurred depression .Centrelink has put him on Newstart (
