New Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced this week the Government intends to scrap ‘zombie’ legislation to push the retirement age to 70. But which one of these would be most likely to encourage you to work until 70:
You were given a sizeable tax break on your earnings.
You were able to make tax-free contributions to super from the age of 65.
You were given healthcare cost incentives, such as subsided private cover.
You were given energy, rent and council rates subsidies.
I wouldn’t work until 70 under any circumstances.
