At a little more than an hour's drive from Jean-Lesage International airport in Quebec City, the region of Charlevoix is also accessible by:

In the 1800's, wealthy Americans were looking for a place to cool-off from their blazing hot cities. Arriving on great white ships, they quickly fell in love with the region and its welcoming residents.
As Americans started to build their own summer homes, one visionnary man had the idea to build a luxurious hotel, to welcome more visitors. From then, hospitality became tradition.
In 2018, this tradition made its way to the international scene, allowing Charlevoix to host the G7 Summit. Top world-leaders were invited to discuss preeminent global challenges at Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu, in La Malbaie.
