What is Your Homeschool Style?

Record keeping and grading are important to me, I like to see us progress

I think grades are irrelevant and don't want my child bound by them

I prefer workbooks, to have my children working independently

I wish we had no workbooks and could just learn through life experiences!

I love to do, make a mess, create, explore, and engage in our lessons

I love the idea of living books (non-fiction books written by masters of the subject that make it come to life)

I want to create an environment where my children are learning always

I want our family to learn together, not each at our own desks

I want to be involved, I want to be teaching my children and learning with them

I want my children to be independent learners, to be able to complete their work without me helping them every step

I like to make a plan or schedule and have my children strictly follow it

I hate schedules, can't stick with them, and like to go with the flow!

I want to teach my children entirely around their brain processes (ie. young children absorb information through memorization and repetition)

I want to approach homeschooling by training my child's mind

I believe in child-led learning (letting my children dictate what they want to learn about)

I don't want to be bound by curriculum

I love diving into a topic and studying it together

It is very important to me that my children master the fundamentals of education (reading, writing, and arithmetic)

I want to expose my children to everything, art and literature, rather than being too concerned with checking off the boxes

I am a type-A personality and very driven

I am an out-of-the-box thinker, a doer!

I am not concerned with results as much as experience, I want my kids to love learning above all else

I would rather my children do "less" but do it well than to do more

I would rather expose my children to as much as possible than be concerned with mastery or preformance

I love the idea of immersing my children in a topic and doing all our subjects around that theme

I hate textbooks, I would rather use library books that are interesting and engaging

I want everything laid out for me with steps and daily lessons to follow

It is very important to me that my child is on-track with other kids their age

I want my children to be allowed to dictate what they learn about

I want to control and create learning situations for my child to follow

I love using technology in my homeschool! Whatever works right?
