The process of learning to play an instrument is not always easy. It involves not only one's mind but also one's body. Our students will learn new information, that with consistent practice, will help them improve. Making music requires patience. Instead of getting immediate results, students will need to persevere. Please continue to the next page to begin the instrument selection process.

Being a percussionist requires performance on many instruments and requires someone who is able to manage time well. There will also be a short rhythm test with the Head of Music before being assigned to the percussion section. As a result of the multiple instruments, the student must practice twice as much as all other band members. Would your child be willing to put in the extra work required to be successful as a percussionist? The Head of Music will schedule a face to face or virtual try out for this instrument.
Yes
No
