One of your biggest goals would be to:
to create amazing things that people love and appreciate
teach as many people as possible while also being able to afford the life you want
do whatever you want and share the journey -- while still getting paid
to create something people have never seen before
reach as many people as possible with your message and change lives with what you do
The idea of live events and retreats makes you feel:
Great, but only if it's smaller and more intimate -- you aren't into the big events
YASSSS That's all I want is to rock the stage and spread the word about my big message
I love the idea of teaching on a large scale
I am okay with it but only if it's a true EXPERIENCE not just sitting around and talking about stuff
Eh, not really my thing
What would your dream project be?
A large scale project that I can go really deep on and spend a lot of time creating -- it could be anything
A digital school in which I teach a little of everything anyone needs to know about what I do -- a one-stop shop!
A new app or software that helps people in your industry
A big project with Oprah around your teachings and methodologies
an adventure retreat where people learn and discover some cool part of the world
When you get off-track with your business, it's mostly because:
You have too many balls in the air and never make progress on anything
you are a perfectionist who never feels like their thing is "DONE" so you never move forward
you get caught doing too much for too many people...mostly for free. There is just so much you can do and what you really WANT to do gets lost
You get caught up in the process. You know where you want to be and KNOW that you are great at what you do but struggle when things don't turn out the way you want. You just want this all to be easier
You can't stay focused. You have one idea and then hope over to the next one and the next one...the struggle is real.
You feel jealous when you see that other people are
Sharing projects and getting big buzz for their work
up on stage, talking to big groups and getting standing ovation
when you see a program or class that is really well made and know that it has a lot of people in it -- I could TOTALLY do that
sharing their enviable experiences on instagram or on facebook
on the cover of Entrepreneaur Magazine, getting lots of press for founding the next BIG thing
How do you feel about social media?
you are meh on it, unless I can find a way to do it in my style...until then I try to avoid it
you like telling stories and sharing lessons from my life on social media and always like to use it to connect with people and share more of my ideas
you feel fine about it, just need someone to tell you what to do and you'll do it
Love it, especially the more visual forms of social media
Don't have time and don't want to it
Overall, you help people by:
teaching them things they struggle to figure out on their own
giving them insight and clarity about how to make their lives better while also inspiring them
creating something for them that they'll never get anywhere else
showing them what's possible by sharing how you did it
creating innovative solutions to problems they have
Ideally, in your business you would work with:
A team that I am in charge of managing and helping carry out my vision
a small team, I love being a part of a group
a team to help me execute all my ideas
Maybe one or two contractors, I'm not looking to be a manager
whoever helps me get the job done
You want to be known for:
creating things people really want
helping people see things differently -- want to be a leader
creating something people have never seen before
living a life that allows them to do whatever they want and get paid for it
helping people figure out stuff they struggle with
If I'm be 100% honest....
I hate the solo part of solopreneaurship -- I want to work with a team
I hate all this business stuff, I just want to help people
my business is just the beginning for me -- I want to do really big things like write books, speak and spread the word about my message
I really just want my business to help fund my life and adventures....I have so much more I want to do and this gives me the freedom I want
this is just business #1, I have a bunch more in me
You would love to have a brand that is like...
Ban.do or any other brand that specializes in creating something cool that people pay for. You want to be able to create in your own style and have people buy it
Marie Forleo or another brand that's all about teaching people how to do things that they struggle with figuring out on their own
Brene Brown or another visionary who has a big idea that their whole brand is based on with books, TV shows and speaking events all around this topic
Tim Ferris or a similar brand who doesn't have a specific thing they do but has a business based off of his shared experiences and life
Laura Roeder or a similar business that has multiple brands under one big umbrell
You sometimes worry that....
people don't appreciate the work that goes into the stuff you do
people don't really get what you are trying to say
you do so much stuff that you aren't even sure what you do
you can't get paid for doing what you really want to do
you have so much you want to do and won't have all the resources to do it
